Cristiano Ronaldo Slips on Nike Air Winflo 9 Running Sneakers
Cristiano Ronaldo brought his casual athletic style to the stage for his latest overseas appearance. Prior to Al-Nassr’s friendly soccer matches against Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan teams on Sunday, the Portuguese soccer player attended a conference with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr’s coach Luis Castoro in Osaka, Japan.
The Ballon d’Or winner wore an Al-Nassr team hoodie with a black and dark gold stripe. The piece was layered over a white soccer jersey and black shorts with a 5-inch inseam.
As part of the current trend of men’s athleisure, Ronaldo wore neutral clothing with retro-inspired separates and tonal colors, which has taken a laidback approach. With new collections from Alo Yoga, Athletegy, Cozy Earth and Todd Snyder, a wide range of brands have embraced the sporty movement with pieces like soft hoodies, sweatshirts and shorter-inseam shorts.
To finish off his outfit, Ronaldo laced into a pair of Nike Air Winflo 9 Running Shoe sneakers. Over a pair of black socks, the star wore cool white uppers with matte laces woven through blue eyelets. In addition to curved white rubber soles, Ronaldo’s outfit had light red Swoosh logos, red textured outsoles, and deep blue heels, all adding to the retro, yet modern, look of the outfit.
In addition to complementing his sporty attire, Ronaldo’s sneakers were also highly fashionable. Nike was July’s most searched sneaker brand for men, with the keyword “men’s sneakers” searched 127,735 times on average every week — making Ronaldo’s onstage shoes uniquely modern.
It is known that Ronaldo wears a variety of brown and black leather boots, low-top sneakers, and oxfords from brands including his own CR7 label. His shoe style is versatile and sharp. Since 2003, Nike has sponsored the soccer star, and he’s been wearing their Mercurial cleats and has even released CR7 capsule collections with the company.
Over the years, Ronaldo has become an ambassador for Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, and Jacob & Co.
