Memphis and Carrasco fire Atletico Madrid to victory in the final score of Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid defeated Manchester City 2-1 thanks to Memphis Depay and Yannick Carrasco.

After torrential rain delayed kickoff in Seoul by 40 minutes, City made most of the running in a high-tempo first half, but Alvaro Morata and Thomas Lemar missed the best chances for Atleti.

Depay and Carrasco scored from distance after Atletico’s wholesale changes paid dividends as Walker rattled the crossbar and Mateo Kovacic went close.

Pep Guardiola’s treble-winners couldn’t find an equalizer ahead of next weekend’s Community Shield clash with Arsenal after Ruben Dias headed home a late Sergio Gomez corner.
